Tulle Wedding Dresses
Tulle is a lightweight, fine-mesh net fabric woven from silk, nylon, or polyester. In bridal wear it functions primarily as a volume fabric — layered into skirts, overskirts, and cathedral trains to create fullness without weight. Ball gowns and princess silhouettes rely heavily on tulle underlayers to achieve their shape. Tulle also appears as an overlay on fitted bodies, as a fabric for sleeves and veils, and in soft, draped A-line skirts. Soft tulle produces a romantic, cloud-like effect while crisp tulle holds more structured volume. Related terms include organza — a similarly sheer fabric with more body — and chiffon, which is softer and less structured than tulle. Tulle is one of the defining fabrics of bridal fashion across all price points.
